His journey began at the age of 13 under the mentorship of his uncle, the legendary Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Aveda. This early introduction to the craft, paired with rigorous training and an unyielding drive, propelled Daniel from a salon stylist to an internationally recognized platform artist and global educator.

As  Director of the original Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. His leadership and expertise were instrumental in shaping the next generation of beauty professionals.

As the owner of Studio 2b, Daniel has built a business rooted in his core values of sustainability, wellness, and kindness. His firm ‘no harm’ philosophy influences everything from the products he uses to the way he approaches each guest. Drawing from his deep yogic practice, Daniel approaches hairdressing as a holistic experience—focusing not only on aesthetics but also on the well-being of his clients.
